One of the most popular areas for visitors to Northern Ireland is the North Antrim coast where the famous Giants Causeway is situated (World Heritage Centre). Also situated on the North Antrim Coast is Bushmills Distillery the oldest licensed working distillery in the world 1608 and of course the breath taking views from the cliff tops as you wind your way down through the Glens of Antrim.
For those interested in ancient history there is the opportunity to visit two of the oldest ancient burial sites in Ireland Newgrange and the Hill of Tara where the Ancient kings of Ireland where crowned. Both of these sites are over 5000 years old (600 years older than the pyramids of Giza and a1000 years older than Stonehenge in England).
Why not take a day trip to Derry/Londonderry. The city where the “Troubles” began in August 1969. Walk along Derry’s walls and visit free Derry corner. Derry/Londonderry is the fourth largest city in Ireland. A city filled with history.
