Good morning, how are you today? I just wanted to send you a quick email, to say a big thank you for the tours that you provided for Stuart and I. We loved every second of them, even when I was nearly dying walking up that steep hill!!!

Dick and I scheduled a 90-minute tour of Belfast with Nigel starting at 3.00pm. Due to a mix-up at the airport, regarding our rental car, a 1.00pm arrival time at our hotel became 3.00pm. Nigel graciously offered to reset the start time of out tour to 4.00pm, giving us time to finish checking in, relax, and freshen up.
We met Nigel for the second time at 4.00pm, to start the best tour of our entire 17-day trip of England and Ireland, and one of the best tours ever. Our tour actually went an additional 90 minutes, as Nigel was a wealth of information, in particular the political "troubles"
In addition to the wonderful tour, he gave us a great recommendation for dinner that evening, and suggestions and driving tips, for the next day, as we planned to travel north by car to visit the Giant's Causeway and Bushmills Distillery.
My wife and I recently spent sometime in Ireland, and travelled North to Belfast. We spent 3 days there seeing all the sights, like the Giant's Causeway.
But by far the best experience, was a Black Taxi Tour. We had surfed around the net before we went, and when we checked into our hotel, asked the deskstaff for a reference, of a reputable company to give us a tour. They recommended www.belfastcitytours.com whose site we had seen on the web.
Both my wife and I can say, it was an unforgettable experience, having Irish ancestors, it was of interest to us, but we had no idea the history lesson we were going to get! I must add, not boring, but fascinating. The guide was brilliant, funny, informative, and no matter what we asked, he had the answer.
It was good value for money, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Belfast.

Belfast City Tours taxi tours was the best tour we took during 2 weeks touring Ireland and Northern Ireland. The tour guide (Nigel) was fabulous and extremely well informed on the historical and political history of Belfast. He spoke freely and thoroughly about both sides of the conflict, took us to parts of Belfast we never would have seen on our own, and since the tour was private (just 3 of us in a black taxi) it was over 3 hours of education, sightseeing and pleasant conversation, not to mention the many questions he answered for us and his great sense of humour. HIGHLY recommended for anyone visiting Belfast. Tours are given for different lengths of time based on your interests. There are other taxi tours in Belfast but I haven't heard great things about them - don't risk it!

We did a black taxi tour of Belfast in September and it was one of the best tours I've been on. You can pick how long you'd like the tour to be (since it's private) and you can focus on history, politics, literature, or other topics that have your interest. We did a 3 1/2 hour tour that took us all over Belfast and then left us at Crown Liquor Saloon for lunch. By that time we had a great idea of what we'd like to spend the rest of our time seeing and doing. I've heard negative reviews of some Belfast taxi tours but we used Belfast City Tours and it was wonderful.
